I love science fiction (speculative fiction, science fantasy, whatever.) because of the open canvas of possibilities it presents. I love reading it. I love writing it. I do not, and let me be clear about this being a discrete distinction, love researching the science behind it. Specifically the math part. I love physics and all the magic therein, but the math makes my head hurt every time. Damn you, dyscalculia. Quantum Mechanics just makes me cry, though.
